US broader indices close lower on the day. Nasdaq 100 closes marginally higher
The broader US stock indices are closing lower. Th S&P fell by -0.33%, while the NASDAQ index fell -0.12%.
Looking at the major indices, the Dow is the worst performer led by declines in Amazon (-2.50%), Honeywell (-1.79%) and Sherwin Williams (-1.73%). The Nasdaq 100 eeked out a small gain (0.08%). A look at the major indices shows:

- CrowdStrike (CRWD): +5.77% at $231.00
- Tesla (TSLA): +5.51% at $367.95
- SanDisk (SNDK): +5.50% at $1,566.70
- Strategy (MSTR): +4.42% at $132.94
Some notable losers in today’s trading include:
- Celsius (CELH): -4.64% at $31.45
- Lyft (LYFT): -4.52% at $16.90
- Wynn Resorts (WYNN): -4.18% at $91.28
- Alibaba (BABA): -4.10% at $114.02
- Uber Technologies (UBER): -4.02% at $75.65
- Shopify (SHOP): -3.62% at $147.37
The closing levels could have been worse. At session lows for the Nasdaq, it was down -152.60 ponts. For the S&P, the index low was down -46.69 points. The Nasdaq 100 was down -128.93 before closing higher by 23.55 points.
