Australian Consumer Inflation Expectations fall to 4.7% in July 2026 (prior 5.5%)
The Consumer Inflation Expectations survey is conducted by the Melbourne Institute, whose consumer inflationary expectations measures are designed to represent the average householder's expected rate of consumer price changes over the coming 12 months.
Its officially known as the Melbourne Institute Survey of Consumer Inflationary and Wage Expectations, run out of the University of Melbourne, and its data feeds into the Reserve Bank of Australia's broader inflation monitoring.
