EUROPEAN SESSION

In the European session, we don't have much on the agenda other than the ECB accounts. This is never a market moving report as the information is outdated by the time it's released.

At the moment, the markets are just extending the pullbacks from yesterday's lows after Trump started to de-escalate the situation with Iran. After that, we are probably going to consolidate again awaiting the US CPI report on Tuesday.

AMERICAN SESSION

In the American session, the only highlight is the US Jobless Claims data. Initial Claims are expected at 217K vs 215K prior, while Continuing Claims are seen at 1814K vs 1814K prior. This shouldn't be a market moving release unless we see a very big deviation from the expected numbers.

The US labour market has been strengthening since the start of the year, with the unemployment rate falling to 4.2% in June from a peak of 4.5% seen in November 2025. The Fed has shifted its focus back to inflation as that's the part of the mandate more in tension now.
