There will be watchful eyes on Fed chair Warsh and what he has to say today, but he won’t be the only major central bank speaker on the agenda. Warsh is very much in focus with this appearance being just two weeks after his first press conference in the June FOMC meeting.

At the time, Warsh stressed the importance of price stability and significantly limited the practice of providing forward guidance. So, market players will certainly be watching closely what he has to say today especially amid recent US-Iran developments and also as we look to the US jobs report tomorrow.

His appearance though will be on a policy panel in the ECB’s annual Forum on Central Banking in Sintra, Portugal. The panel discussion is expected to last for about an hour. And he will be joined by other big names as well, with ECB president Lagarde, BOE governor Bailey, and BOC governor Macklem all also set to participate in the panel.

There shouldn’t be any major surprises from the expected remarks but it will still be worth keeping an eye out for just in case. The panel is scheduled for 1400 GMT with the full agenda of the event here.
