The major US stock indices close at record levels

The major US stock indices are closing higher with all major indices have record levels. The largest gainer was the NASDAQ index which rose by 0.91% or 242.74 points to 26917.4

The S&P index rose by 42.25 points or 0.58% at 7563.62. The Dow industrial average rose by 24.98 points after being negative for most of the day. The index closed that 50,674.06.

The small-cap Russell 2000 increase by 16.62 points or 0.57% to 2936.56.

The gainers were led by Snowflake, Dollar Tree and Best Buy.
